The Corrugated Board Section of the Association of Polish Papermakers hereinafter referred to as ‘the Section’ groups economic operators (the SPP corporate members) manufacturing or/and converting corrugated board. Members are represented in the section by persons managing economic operators or persons authorized by the management.
The Section’s purpose is to represent the interests of members to the Government and local organizations, to analyze current and future problems important for manufacturers and converters of corrugated board as well as to exchange information.
In 2009 r. the Section grouped 14 SPP members. The Board od Directors consists of chairmen or directors of member companies.
The Section’s activities include:
- representation of member’s interests to the governmental administration and local economic organizations
- international co-operation including participation in the FEFCO committees and preparation of appropriate documentation
- legislation monitoring and popularization of EU standards and regulations
- lobbying activities for the benefit of industry in Poland and on the European level (through FEFCO)
- evaluation of current and future problems for corrugated manufacturers
- collection and processing of industry statistics on the paper and corrugated industry and data distribution in Poland and abroad
- collection of materials and views in order to work out a common position of the manufactures on raw materials, energy, environmental protection, working conditions, customs, tax and credit policies, etc.
A current supervision over the Section’s activities is held by the Board of Directors’ meetings, Section’s activities are supervised by the Presidium.
The Section’s activities are financed according to the approved budget for a given year. Members pay annual fees, which amount depends on the scheduled activities.
In addition, proportionally the paper and board output, members pay fees which refund the fee paid by SPP to FEFCO.
